High-Protein Schnitzel: Crispy from the Oven or Air Fryer with 45 g Protein
Share
A schnitzel is lean meat – the fat comes from the pan. Bake or air fry it with a thin coating and a light spray of oil and a 180 g schnitzel brings about 45 g protein with a fraction of the fat.
Method: Pound 180 g turkey, chicken or pork loin thin. Dip in flour, egg, then breadcrumbs (mixed with a little parmesan for extra crunch). Spray lightly with oil. Air fry 10–12 minutes at 200 °C, or bake 15–18 minutes at 220 °C, turning once.
