High-Protein Fondue: A Festive Dinner With 45 g+ Protein
Share
Fondue on Christmas Eve or New Year is a tradition in many German and Swiss homes. Broth fondue – Fondue Chinoise – is the lean version: thin slices of meat and fish cooked in hot stock. With protein-rich dips one evening easily brings 45 g of protein per person.
Unlike oil fondue, nothing is fried, so the calories stay low. The protein comes from about 200 g of lean meat and fish per person. The dips usually add a lot of mayonnaise – make them with skyr or quark instead and they add protein rather than fat.
