Tips that make it work
- Blend for sauces and desserts. A stick blender is enough.
- Add it off the heat. Boiling makes it split and go grainy.
- Check the salt. Cottage cheese can be fairly salty, so season the rest lightly.

Frequently asked questions
How much protein is in cottage cheese?
Around 11–13 g per 100 g, depending on the brand.
How do I get rid of the lumps?
Blend it for 20–30 seconds with a stick blender. It becomes smooth and creamy.
Can I heat cottage cheese?
Yes, gently. Add it at the end and off the heat, because boiling makes it grainy.
