Protein Quark Balls: Air Fryer Doughnut Bites with 20 g Protein

Protein Quark Balls: Air Fryer Doughnut Bites with 20 g Protein

Quarkbällchen from the bakery are deep-fried and rolled in sugar. Made in the air fryer with plenty of quark and oat flour, they stay fluffy, need no frying fat and bring about 20 g protein per five balls.

Base (about 15 balls): 250 g low-fat quark, 2 eggs, 120 g oat flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 2 tablespoons sweetener or sugar, vanilla. Mix, roll into balls with wet hands, air fry at 170 °C for 10–12 minutes (or bake at 180 °C for 15 minutes). Roll in cinnamon and a little sweetener.
