5 high-protein bases

  1. Quark dough – 150 g flour, 150 g low-fat quark, 1 tsp baking powder, salt. Knead, roll thin, pre-bake 8 minutes at 220 °C. About 30 g protein for the base alone.
  2. Chicken base – 250 g minced chicken, 1 egg, 30 g grated parmesan, herbs. Press flat on baking paper, bake 15 minutes at 200 °C, then top. About 65 g – a big pizza for two.
  3. Tortilla pizza – a wholegrain wrap as base, done in 10 minutes. Protein comes from the topping. Ideas: high-protein wraps.
  4. Cottage cheese base – 200 g cottage cheese, 2 eggs, 60 g oat flour, blended and baked flat for 20 minutes. About 40 g.
  5. Red lentil base – 120 g red lentils soaked overnight, blended with water and salt, baked 15 minutes. About 30 g, vegan.

Toppings that add protein

  • Light mozzarella (approx. 20 g per 125 g)
  • Chicken breast, tuna or turkey ham
  • Prawns or an egg cracked onto the middle
  • Tomato sauce mixed with a spoon of quark – creamier and more protein

Example: quark pizza with chicken

Quark base + tomato sauce + 125 g light mozzarella + 100 g chicken breast + vegetables. About 80 g protein for the whole pizza, so 40 g per half.
