High-Protein Meatballs: Lean, Juicy and 40 g Protein per Portion

High-Protein Meatballs: Lean, Juicy and 40 g Protein per Portion

The soaked bread roll in classic meatballs adds carbs and little else. Oats and quark keep them just as juicy and push the protein up – about 40 g for four meatballs.

Base (about 12 balls): 500 g lean beef mince, 1 egg, 50 g oats, 100 g low-fat quark, 1 grated onion, mustard, salt, pepper, parsley. Mix, shape and fry for 4–5 minutes per side, or bake at 200 °C for 18–20 minutes.
